Full club members have access to most of the South West Wales Soaring Club (SWWSC) sites. Many members consider that Rhossili (on the Gower peninsular) to be one of the best sites and members can often be seen there enjoying some coastal flying.

Members also fly other sites but there are no special arrangements and you need to contact the clubs before flying it's sites:

  • South East Wales Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club
  • Long Mynd Soaring Club
  • Mid Wales HG & PG Club
  • Avon Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club
  • Turning to organisations outside the UK, Robin, who used to Run "Airtopia" flying from the Malverns, is now established in Montenegro. Click the link here http://www.airtopia.com.

A little further north, in the Julian Alps, lies Slovenia, where XTC Paragliding are the main group hospitality providers. Brett Janaway, former British paragliding accuracy champion, XC and tandem acro pilot is the owner of XTC and the main guide and flying coach in Slovenia. The flying in the north is thermic alpine flying with several sites offering record-breaking XC potential, while others are well suited for lower airtime CPs. In the south, a long sunny ridge provides the lift for competition flying and ridge runs of 20km and more. More details at http://www.xtc-paragliding.com.

In sunny Spain, the club has often made trips to Piedrahita, the small town southwest of Madrid that Steve Ham has put on the paragliding map, with several international competitions and his own coaching and accomodation packages. The website has just been updated and you can see quite a lot of Malvern pilots in the gallery at http://www.flypiedrahita.com
