Can get rough flying and top landing in strong winds due to ridge in front on the other side of the valley (more applicable to hang-gliders).

Take the A481 out of Builth Wells, turn off right after approx. 3 miles to farm. Drive through farm and follow the track up the west side of the hill. This track is very steep and has loose rubble on it, so four-wheel drive is recommended. If you use this access route, 3 Pounds per vehicle is payable to the farmer (Jeff).

There are chicken sheds at the farm we have been asked not to fly close to them. It is suggested that you do not overfly lower than ridge height.

Don't block farmyard when parking by bottom landing field.

Drive east along the top of the hill until you find a suitable place to take off.

[Feb 2010 Update] There is currently no regular bottom landing for hang gliders. Use one of the other fields in the area. The picture shows the PG landing and a field which may be used by hang gliders in emergencies only.

All pilots must be members of the BHPA.

Best in a NW direction to give most possible miles. The first 8 miles are over hills and long carry out is possible.
