Members' Mailing List

The club has a mailing list that is available to club members. This is seen as a better way of building a community that the Bulletin Board and has been working well for a while now.

The way it works is this...

You compose an email in the normal way and send it to the mailing list address.

All members who have subscribed (including yourself) will receive the message. The email will have the 'sender' set to your email address so others can tell who sent it. Replying to the emails from the list will use the mailing list address (not that of the sender) so that everyone sees your reply. If you want to reply to just the sender you will have to manually enter their address.

Only subscribed members can send emails to the list. If you change your email then you need to unsubscribe using your old email address (just send an email to the mailing list address with the subject set to 'UNSUBSCRIBE'), then subscribe using your new email.

Please use the list for whatever you want! For instance if you are thinking of going flying, want to see if anyone else wants to go out or have some useful weather predictions! Don't think of this as a replacement for other lists (such as Europg) but as way of targeting club members.

Attachments (pics, etc.) can be sent but keep them small to avoid clogging-up subscribers' inboxes. Even better, stick them on a website and put a link to it in the email.
